Vision design, cascade and employee engagement

Our client, a top tier European Bank, needed to make significant changes in order to respond to digital transformation and cost challenges.

The challenge

Our client, a top tier European Bank, needed to make significant changes in order to respond to digital transformation and cost challenges.  As a result they wished to develop an aspirational vision to cascade throughout the organisation, along with a strategic roadmap of how to achieve this.

Our solution

We partnered with the ExCo and key stakeholders to help articulate strategy for the future.  Through collaborative working sessions a collective vision was established with buy-in from all key players.

The vision and strategy were cascaded through a series of global face to face workshops. The cascade workshops were designed to elicit buy in from participants, to uncover any barriers to success that needed to be tackled and to bring to light existing success stories to be communicated and celebrated more widely.

The first wave of workshops were jointly delivered by Davies and ExCo members, for all senior organisational and thought leaders.

These leaders in turn delivered the next wave of vision workshops throughout the organisation to ensure everyone had a shared understanding of the strategy and what part they individually play.

A group of change champions were sourced to form a network that would:

  • remove barriers to the strategy,
  • share lessons learnt,
  • drive improvements across the organisation,
  • celebrate successes on achieving the vision.

Our impact

  • Helped the client articulate their collective vision in a compelling and engaging way, simplifying a detailed strategy to make it easy to embed, understand and remember
  • Surfaced issues and barriers that were holding the organisation back from achieving the strategy
  • Created a sustainable approach to maintain momentum and continue to drive progress on achieving the vision
  • Shared numerous success to demonstrate the vision was achievable, and create a “pull” effect from staff towards the strategy
