The challenge

Our client came to us with a requirement to develop their team leaders across three global locations. They wanted our help to build on their existing offer to deliver a more practical and advanced performance coaching solution.

Our solution

To start with, we conducted a full Learning Needs Analysis to establish what areas of coaching to focus on. As an outcome of this analysis, we identified that there were three key areas to focus on: emotional intelligence, coaching conversations and delivering feedback.

We identified that the core experience needed to be delivered in a classroom setting allowing for a high degree of interaction and participation with peers, but we also recommended front-ending powerful digital modules, to speed up us to competence and act as an ongoing resource.

Working with such a powerful global brand and personality mean that the experience needed to feel as seamless and as ‘Lego’ as possible.

We worked in close partnership with our client to reflect the playful nature of the organisation not only in the look and feel, but also in the whole tone of the learning materials. Translation and adaptation was designed in from the start.

Our human-led sessions, which were delivered in three different continents, blended psychometrics, tone of voice, coaching best practice and cultural awareness together to deliver fantastic outcomes for the team leaders, providing a foundation brick for conversations with colleagues moving forward.

Our impact

The solutions achieved really positive evaluations and also became adopted against additional regions as team leaders grew in confidence and skill. Lego recognised how important coaching and development was within their business and our partnership with them helped embed this globally and continue to drive people performance across their business.
