The challenge
A major global bank were looking to enhance the leadership capability of its “Extended Leadership Team” who have a key role to play in cascading an efficient and effective way of operating which engages and motivates employees.
Our approach
A Programme entitled “Equip to Lead – To Unlock Performance” was rolled out to accelerate the ability of this extended leadership team to have a consistent impact across individuals and teams delivering programmes, specifically to:
- Play their part in achieving the vision and leading effective delivery across all teams, minimising duplication of effort, maximising best practice, and adopting an agility mindset
- Lead teams more effectively so “purpose” is clear, people fully understand their role and everyone is motivated to perform at their best
- Grow others and bring on talent
- Learn to be led as well as to lead.
Our impact
- Creating a learner environment in which everyone trusts each other to develop the capability to lead
- Leaders who understood leadership is not only a ‘Science’ but also an ‘Art’, and we can do more about important but not yet urgent matters to achieve our long-run target. We get to do the Right Thing Right in the Right way. Building a wider community of talented emerging leaders who have set enhanced standards on good leadership
- Talent recruitment and retention measures exceeded.
