Accelerating change adoption

A Global Bank needed to drive forward significant transformation. Several projects were behind schedule and the track record of adoption was showing that employee engagement was a significant factor.

The challenge

A Global Bank needed to drive forward significant transformation. Several projects were behind schedule and the track record of adoption was showing that employee engagement was a significant factor.

Our solution

A new framework for leading and accelerating the pace of change that was rolled out to 600 Change Leaders who then:

  • Understand the mindset shift required to lead and drive priority changes in the Bank with a focus on adoption
  • Understand the core attributes that drive successful change and what remediation may be needed
  • Made personal commitments to advancing changed ways of working as leaders

In tandem Change Leaders, Champions and PMs within specific projects were equipped to run a suite of engagement events where employee resistance and misconceptions were at their greatest.

We delivered three main interventions which both upskilled Change Leaders and also brought Champions onboard to support the ongoing engagement needed for adoption.

Our impact

  • Change Leaders with a common focus on adoption
  • A consistent language around crafting business stories to bring people along the journey
  • At pace ability to review and remediate inflight programmes to improve their chances of success
  • The impact and value of our approach traced to the bottom line and effectiveness of change spend
