Managing Partner Pino Vallejo, Global Head of HR Begoña Fernandez, CFO Richard Gray and Partner George Holman visited Mumbai and Bangalore this month, in their first post COVID visit to the Davies India team.
As well as client meetings, the team took time to visit two local charities: the Sahana Charitable Trust, who provide food, housing and education to visually impaired children, and the Montfort Children’s Home, which provides food, education and accommodation to orphaned children.
Speaking about the charity visits, Davies India’s People & Finance Coordinator Apoorva Vishwanath said:
“Sahana arranges for textbooks to be translated into Braille to help children complete their education. The children we met had prepared an entertainment programme for our visit, which comprised of singing prayers and dancing. Then at the Montfort Children’s home, our team donated food, sport and study materials. They played games, danced and ate with the children – who very kindly gave them a ‘Thank You’ card at the end of their visit. Spending time with these children was a truly humbling experience for us all.”
The visit also included a special staff Town Hall meeting and inaugural ‘Quarterly Awards’ evening, recognising the outstanding performance of our Davies employees. On this occasion, awards were presented to the following colleagues (pictured below):
