Davies has announced the appointment of Matthew (Matt) Davey as a Partner within its market-leading Asset Management Practice. Matt is a well-known figure in securities servicing and fund administration, having held senior roles in major firms across London, Boston and Paris. Before joining Davies, Matt served as Global Head of Business Solutions then Managing Director, Head of CMS UK (Coverage, Marketing, Solutions) at Société Générale Securities Services, following roles at Invesco Perpetual, State Street, HSBC Securities Services and JP Morgan.
Matt is also known as a regular speaker, media commentator and in 2020 was honoured as a ‘Global Custody Legend’ by Global Custodian Magazine for his contribution to the industry.

After taking a BSc Hons in Pathobiology with Chemistry from the University of Reading, Matt spent his early career at the Morgan Guaranty Trust Co and at The Bank of New York.
