Ricky Maloney leads Davies Consulting and Technology across the GCC. He is based in Doha, Qatar, where as Qatar Country Executive and Head of GCC he represents the full spectrum of industries and capabilities at Davies. Ricky brings extensive financial services experience having worked at buy side, sell side, FMI and custodial institutions during his career. His first-hand experience in each of these business areas gives him an excellent level of understanding with respect to the clients he engages with and the challenges he seeks to solve.
In his current role, Ricky carries responsibility for management of the Doha office as the registered SEO, development of client relationships, and raising awareness of Davies specialisms within the client community across the region. He works closely with teams across Davies to position industries and capabilities effectively, supporting complex engagement processes. Ricky’s expertise covers both traditional and digital asset markets, his strong markets experience gives him an excellent understanding of the opportunities that are available within capital markets, leveraging innovation from digital asset markets, in a risk controlled and well governed framework. He also works across insurance‑related initiatives in the GCC region, supporting opportunities to help clients solve operational and technological challenges relating to claims, underwriting and broader digitisation capabilities.
His approach centres on partnership, trust and sustained value. Focusing on long‑term relationships and knowledge transfer, encouraging client involvement throughout delivery so capability remains in place beyond any engagement. Ricky maintains close awareness of market and regulatory developments through daily engagement with financial news, client dialogue, and regional networks.
