Operating Strategy & Transformation

Patricia Celata is a Director in Davies’ CTS Business Transformation team, with more than 30 years of financial services experience. She helps organisations strengthen governance, risk and control frameworks while managing regulatory, operational and business change.

Patricia specialises in operational risk, regulatory compliance, Consumer Duty, SMCR, operational resilience and corporate governance. Her expertise also covers assurance, programme governance, third-party risk and major transformation programmes. Having worked across technical, operational and advisory roles, she understands how frameworks affect day-to-day business performance.

Clients include wealth managers, asset managers, banks and investment firms, ranging from specialist firms to complex international organisations. They often seek Patricia’s support during growth, transformation or increased regulatory scrutiny. In response, she helps leaders identify gaps, evaluate options and balance regulatory expectations with commercial and operational realities.

Her approach is pragmatic, curious and grounded in practical delivery. Patricia examines root causes, challenges assumptions where needed and develops proportionate solutions that avoid unnecessary complexity. Consequently, clients gain stronger oversight, more effective controls and a clearer basis for decision-making.

Patricia believes good governance should enable the business rather than create an administrative burden. Early attention to risk and controls can reduce later remediation, prevent avoidable rework and provide a stronger foundation for change. Therefore, she measures success by improvements that remain useful long after an engagement ends.

Regulatory change, technology, market conditions and customer expectations continue to shape Patricia’s industry interests. She maintains current insight through regulatory publications, professional networks, industry forums and direct work with clients across varied markets.
