John Healy is a Director within the Operating Strategy & Transformation capability at Davies. He brings more than 25 years of experience leading operations and support functions across large financial institutions. John is recognised as a trusted advisor and has managed large teams and significant operating budgets throughout his career.
John has a strong understanding of the operational and talent driven levers that support efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth. He applies this experience to help organisations strengthen performance and enhance governance. In addition, he develops scalable, risk aligned operating models and leads client lifecycle management engagements across the US and Canada, partnering with global and regional banks, broker dealers, and market infrastructure providers.
Prior to joining Davies, John held senior leadership roles within major financial institutions. Most recently, he led capital markets operations and oversaw a team of more than 100 professionals while managing front to back operational support across core trading and capital markets functions. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles in middle office operations, focusing on trade support, P&L oversight, and risk reporting across multiple asset classes.
John’s expertise spans client lifecycle management, regulatory onboarding, operational risk, post trade processing, and large scale technology enablement. Furthermore, he has led major transformation initiatives, including integration programmes, platform modernisation, and cloud based onboarding transformation. He has also supported regulatory change initiatives, including LIBOR reform, CAT, CFTC rewrite, and T+1 implementation.
John focuses on delivering clear and effective outcomes in complex environments. As a result, he remains closely engaged with industry developments through organisations such as SIFMA and ISDA and contributes to mentoring and professional development across the financial services community.
