People Development

Mark Brotherwood is a Senior Partner and Co-Lead of the People Development capability at Davies. He brings over three decades of experience across banking, technology, and organisational transformation. He works with leading financial institutions to design and deliver programmes that strengthen workforce capability, leadership effectiveness, and organisational performance.

Prior to joining Davies, Mark spent nearly 30 years at a global banking group, including a decade in Geneva. Here, he led Treasury and trading platforms and the Financial Crime and Compliance technology department. He held senior roles in engineering, operations, and change management. Mark managed global teams, drove complex programmes, and introduced agile and DevOps practices to modernise delivery and improve collaboration.

At Davies, Mark leads the strategic expansion and integration of the People Development capability. This drives growth across North America, unifying delivery and business development, strengthening succession and talent pipelines and shaping the long‑term direction of the capability in alignment with Davies’ Vision 2030.

Mark is committed to continuous learning and is currently completing a Level 5 coaching apprenticeship. He places the greatest value on listening to clients, recognising that they experience emerging challenges first-hand and provide the most relevant perspective on market trends. Drawing on his background as a former banking leader, Mark understands the pace of change and uses this experience to anticipate new developments. This approach ensures he remains informed and able to design solutions that address both current and future needs.
