Davies, the leading specialist professional services and technology business serving the insurance and highly regulated sectors, today announced the appointment of Alban de Vatteville as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO). de Vatteville will join the firm later this year, reporting directly to Group CEO, Dan Saulter, and become a member of its Group Executive Committee.
de Vatteville joins Davies from NielsenIQ (NYSE: NIQ), where he is Deputy CFO and CFO of NIQ’s Activation business, a project-based analytics and services business generating approximately $750 million in annual revenue. He has held a number of senior finance leadership roles throughout NIQ’s evolution from a public company to private equity ownership and back to the public markets. His experience includes leading the finance agenda for the acquisition and integration of GfK, driving a group-wide cash generation programme ahead of NIQ’s public listing, redesigning the global finance function, overseeing financial performance across international markets and helping to lead the separation of NielsenIQ from Nielsen under Advent International ownership.
Dan Saulter, Group CEO, Davies, said: “I am delighted to welcome Alban to Davies. His global finance experience, work with private and public capital markets, leadership success, and transformation track-record will help us to deliver on our Vision 2030 strategy, as we seek to double the size of the business over the coming years”.
Commenting on his appointment, Alban de Vatteville, said: “Davies has built something rare in this market: genuine scale across the insurance value chain and significant opportunities for further value creation. I have been particularly impressed by the strength of the leadership team and its partnership with BC Partners. I look forward to working with them to accelerate organic growth and cash generation, capture the benefits of Davies’ scale and bring disciplined investment to support the firm’s next phase of growth.”
Based at Davies’ global headquarters in London’s insurance district, de Vatteville will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the firm’s Vision 2030 strategy, including its focus on operational efficiency, investment in AI and automation, and organic and M&A led growth. Over the past 12 months, Davies has accelerated its AI strategy through new leadership appointments, increased investment in AI and GenAI technologies, and the rollout of agentic AI capabilities within its ClaimPilot technology suite, to help insurers improve efficiency, speed and customer experience.
