Davies appoints Presidents of Workers’ Compensation and Property & Casualty TPA Services amid rapid growth in North America

Sarasota, U.S. – May 14, 2025 – Davies, the leading specialist professional services and technology business serving insurance and highly regulated markets, today announced the appointments of Kara Sepulveda to President, Workers’ Compensation, and Dave Valenzano to President, Property & Casualty (P&C) Third-Party Administration (TPA) Services.  

Kara Sepulveda joins Davies after serving as the Senior Global Risk & Insurance Manager at a globally publicly traded company since 2022. Kara’s expertise includes over 18 years’ experience spanning global risk management, TPA operations, and broker consulting, as well as leading sales efforts for cost containment services. She has also previously led a large national workers’ compensation TPA and was recently selected as a 2025 Women in Insurance Award nominee. In her new role Kara will be responsible for overseeing the expansion of Davies’ national workers’ compensation platform.  

Dave Valenzano has a 27-year career in P&C insurance, with roles spanning across both carrier and service entities. He joined Davies in October 2021 and has most recently served as President of Audit, Actuarial and Consulting solutions for Davies. In his new role, Dave will oversee relationships with MGAs, Carriers, Syndicates and self-insured entities, with a focus on Transportation, E&S and Program TPA Services.

The news follows the recent appointment of Dhara Patel to CEO of Davies’ North American division in March and comes at a time when wheels are in motion for Davies’ Vision-2030 strategy. The five-year strategy, which aims to quadruple sales to £3bn over the next five years, hinges on four central pillars: technology and artificial intelligence, organic growth and cross-selling, geographic and solution expansion, and operational excellence.
