Our claims professionals offer a broad range of expertise across multiple disciplines and are committed to providing the highest quality of service to our clients.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.claimspro.ca\" target=\"_blank\">www.claimspro.ca<\/a> to learn more.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>A Desktop adjuster is responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Reviewing Documentation:<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>Examine policyholder statements, police reports, repair estimates, photographs, and third-party inspection reports to ensure all information is accurate and complete<\/li>\n<li><b>Determining Coverage:<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>Interpret insurance policy terms, conditions, and exclusions to decide whether a claim is covered and the extent of the insurer\u2019s financial responsibility<\/li>\n<li><b>Claim Resolution:<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>Communicate with policyholders via phone, email, or video conferencing to explain coverage decisions, settle claims, and expedite payments<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Collaboration:<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>Work with field adjusters who provide on-site inspection reports, contractors, and other stakeholders to finalize claims efficiently<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Administrative Tasks:<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>Document all communications, update claim files, and maintain accurate records in claims management software such as Xactimate<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Customer Service:<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>Respond to inquiries, provide guidance, and ensure timely contact with claimants throughout the claims process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have experience in Personal and\/or Commercial lines Auto Property Damage (PD).<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Some personal Property Claims experience will be considered an asset, as well as the following competencies;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Effective Analytical Skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Organizational skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Interpersonal skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Relationship Building skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Demonstrated and proven leadership skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Sense of urgency and responsiveness<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<p>University degree or post-secondary education related to insurance.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Minimum of 1 year experience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Equivalency in combination of education and experience will be considered.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ongoing commitment to education and learning.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause and effect dynamics<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Good investigative manner<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Adjuster\u2019s license, or currently pursuing or have completed the CIP designation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Advanced communication skills including:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Effective written skills including those of a technical nature<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Effective oral skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, must be able to flex style appropriate to audience.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Proactive and positive approach to customer service ensuring that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong commitment to ongoing education and learning.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
