The right individual will need to be a dynamic, self-motivated and results-oriented <span><span><span>professional.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span> While these projects will involve issuing scientific reports, the main objectives are to mitigate the loss, remediation of the site, and support our clients closing their files, in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Environmental Engineering or Geosciences or a college diploma in Environmental Sciences or related study, with a minimum of two years\u2019 experience within the environmental field and at least two years of project management experience. Hazmat experience is an asset.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Role Responsibilities:<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Emergency response activities including initial investigation, real time remedial planning, retaining, and managing sub-contractors, cost control, field supervision and documentation<\/li>\n<li>This position will involve spill response, which will include Project Management of the contractors in the field and organizational and scientific documentation of the remediation as it progresses<\/li>\n<li>Client and regulatory report preparation and liaising with regulators and other stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Client engagement and participation in business development activities<\/li>\n<li>While there will be a wide variety of projects, the primary types will be transportation losses<\/li>\n<li>The successful candidate will be energetic, results oriented and expected to make decisions in the field with support from head office<\/li>\n<li>The position will require travel and involve periodic evening and weekend work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><u>Requirements:<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Science or Engineering (Environmental or Earth Sciences preferred) or related diploma with applicable experience<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of two years\u2019 experience within the environmental field with at least two years of project management experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience in soil and groundwater remediation projects including delineation, monitoring and management<\/li>\n<li>Experience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project management<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver&#39;s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region<\/li>\n<li>Successful candidate must have a flexible schedule; willingness to work after hours on weekends when required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
