We have an existing opportunity to add an experienced Desktop Adjuster to our team! This position can work remotely anywhere in Canada.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

This role is responsible for the investigation and adjusting of low to moderate general liability claims including bodily injury and slip and falls.<\/p>\n

The successful candidate provides a high standard quality service and facilitates prompt and equitable settlement of claims within the parameters of corporate policies and standards as well as initiates and follows-up on business development opportunities<\/p>\n

Competencies required to succeed<\/b>
\u2022 Effective analytical skills including identification of cause and effect dynamics.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Proven investigative manner
\u2022 Ability to read and interpret policy coverage.
\u2022 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
\u2022 Good written and oral communication skills.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Able to draw valid conclusions and effectively communicate them
\u2022 Proactive and positive approach to customer service ensuring all inquiries are effectively dealt within a timely manner
\u2022 Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/b>
\u2022 Investigate, negotiate and settle liability claims
\u2022 Direct field investigations as required for exposure and within account guidelines parameters.
\u2022 Make initial contact as per account guidelines.
\u2022 Report to client as per account guidelines.
\u2022 Identify liability exposures, recommend reserves, recommend investigation required for exposure, prepare action plans, and negotiate settlements
\u2022 Provide high level of customer service to clients and insured\u2019s<\/p>\n
