The role will leverage the applicant&#39;s electrical engineering expertise to assess electrical systems and equipment and determine the origin and cause of electrically related fires and failures.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs is a must. Good presentation skills are an asset. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>In this position, you will join a highly creative and collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence. A willingness to travel is a must.<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Role Responsibilities:<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assess, analyze and research cause and origin of fires where electrical components and equipment are involved<\/li>\n<li>Interview witnesses, service personnel and other local officials<\/li>\n<li>Inspections shall include, but not be limited to, roofs, attics, crawlspaces, partially destroyed buildings, fire damaged buildings, and elevated structures<\/li>\n<li>Experience determining product design, defects, and electrical forensic failure analysis<\/li>\n<li>Experience investigating electrical and mechanical equipment\u2019s such as air conditioners, power saws, refrigerators, power drills, elevator controllers, elevators, escalators etc.<\/li>\n<li>Able to recognize potential subrogation opportunities<\/li>\n<li>The ability to climb, work at heights, and work at all temperatures is required<\/li>\n<li>The ability to assess the general safety of fire damaged structures is essential<\/li>\n<li>Lead projects from start to finish<\/li>\n<li>Provide clear, accurate, and timely reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><u>Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum CFEI, CFI, or CVFI, or the ability to become certified is a must<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>A strong background in fire investigation or equivalent work experience<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Electrical Engineering, or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status with demonstrated progress toward obtaining professional licensure<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>A strong understanding of the Fire Code<\/li>\n<li>Experience determining product design, defects, and electrical forensic failure analysis<\/li>\n<li>Experience investigating electrical and mechanical equipment\u2019s such as air conditioners, power saws, refrigerators, power drills, elevator controllers, elevators, escalators etc.<\/li>\n<li>Experience within the insurance and legal industry is required<\/li>\n<li>A demonstrated track record of taking projects to successful completion<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook &amp; Excel)<\/li>\n<li>A willingness and passion to support the marketing and sales department through attendance at presentations and industry events<\/li>\n<li>Ability to discuss projects budgets with clients and maintain continuous communication throughout the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>?<b>Job Requirements:<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Must possess and maintain a valid driver&#39;s license appropriate to the province of employment and be legally authorized to drive independently.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Must have reliable access to a personal vehicle to meet the travel requirements of the position.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Must be capable of working in remote locations and under varying weather, environmental, and temperature conditions<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing and able to travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><u>What We Offer:<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive Pay: $67,200.00 &#8211; $93,300.00 CAD Annual<\/li>\n<li>Your success matters to us, and we believe in rewarding high performance with meaningful financial incentives and career growth opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Work-Life Balance<\/li>\n<li>Remote and Hybrid Work Opportunities<\/li>\n<li>E-flex Benefits Program<\/li>\n<li>Wellness Programs<\/li>\n<li>Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), including a 2% match for full-time employees<\/li>\n<li>Training and Career Development Opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Employee Referral Bonuses<\/li>\n<li>Employee Recognition Program<\/li>\n<li>Employee Perks (access to vendor discount programs)<\/li>\n<li>Reimbursement for Adjusting Licenses and Dues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We welcome and encourage applications from people with disabilities.
