Overview

Every decision to outsource should be based on a clear business case and be seamlessly integrated into your organisation’s vision and operating model. Our team can help you develop an outsourcing strategy that fulfils these criteria, helping you answer the fundamental questions to make the strategy a success.

We combine the insight that comes from our extensive experience procuring and managing major outsourcing contracts with a robust commercial focus – helping quantify potential gains and putting them in the context of your business goals and priorities. We have the global resources to work fast and provide you the answers you need at speed.

The Situation

A new online subscription service knew it lacked the skills in-house to provide customer support, so it made the early strategic decision to outsource.

They realised that they would benefit from some direction, and so got in touch with Davies’ expert team to further explore their options. This allowed them to make an informed decision on the best pathway for their specific business needs.

Our Approach

We worked with the client’s team to understand what outsourcing would look like for them; the likely workload, along with the business’s priorities in terms of service standards, availability and costs. From there, we developed a strategy to find a single large supplier, that could offer a high quality core service as well as the option to flex to meet surges in demand, or if the business grew faster than projected.

Return on Investment

We recommended a primarily onshore approach, but that offshore could be part of the total package, and advised going straight to RFP with a short list of relevant suppliers.

The client followed our advice and was able to appoint a supplier faster than it had initially expected.
