Davies is delighted to announce it won the `best use of technology for customer experience – claims` award at Insurance Times Tech and Innovation Awards on Thursday 26 September.

The winning technology is a live video tool that enables video collaboration between insurers and their policyholders. It allows policyholders to livestream evidence of physical property damage, negating a requirement of physical inspections, streamlining claims resolution.

This new technology has brought business benefits such as removing the need for a physical inspection, shortening lifecycles and increasing control of business costs. It has boosted productivity, removed the inconvenience of making a claim whilst engaging the policyholder to be part of the claims experience.

In addition to freeing up time for inspectors, the new technology has delivered a 56 per cent reduction in the average claim lifecycle from 17 to 7.5 days. The number of successfully settled claims also increased by 62 per cent during this period.
